Parenting for a Decade - Judson turns 10
I love this kid! Judson wanted to invite 3 friends over and go to the drive-in theatre but Nanny McPhee was playing so we rented xbox games instead, and they spent the night. Judson and his best friend went to sleep at day break and got up about 3 hours later. We played putt-putt and hung out until about 4pm. On Sunday, we celebrated his birthday with family and his "twin" Makenzie! 
Fearless Kids Rally
Ms. Jessica and I led a "Fearless" back to school pep rally at our church! It was so much fun. Sunday night we hosted a big cookout with inflatables. Monday-Wednesday, the kids had fun learning how to be fearless in their faith! We collected school items for a safehouse for kids, and we ended the event with the icecream truck! Here are some pictures.
Beach with the Fennessey Family
The Fennessey family invited us to the beach....Friday through Monday...the kids had a blast together. The sea turtle hospital was a highlight....amazing seafood at Sears Landing.
3rd Honeymoon
Matt and I slipped away with Aunt Sherri and Uncle Allen to ATLANTIS in the Bahamas. It was so relaxing and the beaches were beautiful. We went snuba diving....I was scared out of my mind but did okay. Matt was like a fish at the bottom of the ocean! Matt, Sherri, and and Allen did the 60 foot drop into the shark tank...I took pictures of them doing it :)
Siblings at the River
Aunt Sherri, MAK, and Uncle Dan Dan visited us at the river! We got MAK up on the training skis the very first time. She ski'd the entire length of the river.....when training skis, an adult (me) is on the other end of the rope....I finally had to let her go....she did great!
First Chance Camp
Abbie went to "1st Chance Camp"....weekend camp to get used to overnight camp....she had a blast! Pictured below with Ms. Penny Lee. Ms. Sarah was her cabin mom the other week. She and Judson went in July for a week to camp and had a blast. Judson wants to go two weeks next summer.
What's In a Name?
Both of our boys are named after our beloved grandfathers, and Abbie is named after my only sister. We went to the cemetary to visit my grandparents. We had forgotten that my grandparents had a baby boy who died at birth, he was a junior so he shared Judson's name too. Abbie got upset that Aunt Sherri's tombstone wasn't there for her to take her picture with....that was a fun parenting moment.
Kicking Off Summer Break!
We had an amazing week at the river and beach! It started with my college roommate, Amie, and I going to the Chef's Kitchen and eating way too much food! Got great advice on local versus organic food. Uncle Dan Dan and friends Brooke and Brad joined us for some tubing....Jud learned how to play rummy with Matt and Brad....friends left and we headed home for hair cuts and for Matt to play softball...headed to the beach - ended up staying 2 nights - it was so much fun. Returned to the river with Matt and Sarah - more fun tubing....Matt's family arrived on Saturday....always fun to hear Aunt Jenny say "how do I get on the tube?"...same question every year!
